HistóriaRegional hockey update for TIGGA in Espoo’s sports landscape
TIGGA is based in Espoo as a registered association, and though it does not appear prominently in mainstream hockey news, the local ice hockey scene remains active and evolving. Kiekko‑Espoo, Espoo’s leading hockey club, earned promotion to the Liiga for the 2024–25 season and continues its Liiga campaign through the 2025–26 season (en.wikipedia.org). The team, playing at Espoo Metro Areena, has a strong junior development structure feeding into both men’s and women’s programs (kivahobby.fi). These developments sustain a vibrant hockey environment in Espoo, offering contextual relevance for clubs like TIGGA operating in the region.
