Amazon ends AmazonSmile: what it means for FC Nova backers in Meridian
Amazon has closed its AmazonSmile charity program as of February 2023, ending the 0.5% donation on eligible purchases that once flowed to registered nonprofits [1][2]. For FC Nova families and supporters in Meridian, that means the old AmazonSmile route is no longer a way to back the club [1].Support can shift to options like direct contributions through the club’s official channels, team-run fundraisers, local business sponsorships, employer matching gifts, and gear wish lists on retail platforms. As the season ramps up, following the club’s posted donation instructions will ensure help reaches the right teams and programs.Amazon has encouraged organizations to pursue other community-giving avenues following the program’s sunset [1].
