BlueClaws Earn 3–2 Victory Behind Dominant Pitching
Jersey Shore BlueClaws secured a 3–2 win over Greensboro on Wednesday at ShoreTown Ballpark. BlueClaws pitchers retired the final 16 Greensboro batters, evening the series and improving the team’s record to 16–18. Offensive support came early, as a sacrifice fly from José Colmenares in the first inning brought home John Spikerman, who had opened the frame with a triple. Trent Farquhar delivered an RBI single in the third, and a wild pitch in the fourth scored Brock Vradenburg, who had walked, stole second and advanced to third on a flyout. Ryan Dromboski (2–2) earned the win after six innings, and Brandon Beckel closed with his second professional save. Spikerman and Nick Biddison each recorded two hits.
