Broncos Secure Second Straight CUNY Baseball Title
The Bronx Community College baseball program, known as the Broncos, claimed their second consecutive CUNY Community College championship with a decisive 12–2, five‑inning victory over Queensborough on May 4, 2026. The Broncos’ offense was balanced and powerful, highlighted by standout performances from Jason Espinoza—who earned MVP honors with a double, single, and sacrifice fly—and Lenox Rondon, who delivered two hits, including an RBI double and single. Pitcher Juan Santos earned his sixth win of the season, striking out 10 across five innings. Head Coach Adolfo DeJesus marked his 40th season by leading the program to its 14th title. The club celebrated the triumph with a ceremony featuring college president Dr. Larry D. Johnson, Jr., who threw the ceremonial first pitch. The development underscores continued baseball momentum in the Bronx region relevant to local entities like Machia Baseball Group.
