Cetinje birthplace of Montenegrin FA: founded 8 March 1931
The Football Association of Montenegro was founded in Cetinje on 8 March 1931, initially operating under the Yugoslav Football Association [1]. That start in the old royal capital anchors the sport’s institutional roots in the city’s football culture.Today the association oversees the national team across qualifiers and friendlies, with fixtures and standings charting that path for supporters at home and abroad [2][3].
