A Chula Vista youth soccer coach, Esteban Castaneda, resumed coaching after stolen equipment was replaced through community donations. Castaneda, who leads two club teams of 11- and 12-year-olds practicing at Santa Venetia Park, had his truck and training materials stolen. The local response raised over $1,600, enabling purchase of new goals, balls, and gear. Castaneda plans to work with his insurance provider on vehicle replacement, and surplus funds will support player scholarships within the club.
