Eastland Sports Campus Breaks Ground, Bolstering Charlotte’s Soccer Infrastructure
Charlotte United Football Club’s broader soccer environment in Charlotte received a notable boost as the Eastland Sports Campus officially broke ground on March 6, 2026. Positioned as a new hub for amateur sports, the roughly 30‑acre development, led by Charlotte Soccer Academy and partners, promises indoor and outdoor facilities that will enrich the region’s soccer landscape and benefit local clubs, including those like Charlotte United Football Club. The city is contributing $41.2 million to the $67 million project, with additional funding from the private sector. Construction is set to ramp up in Q3 2026 after permitting concludes.
