KC Metro Youth Baseball & Softball Opportunities Expand in 2026
The KC Barnstormers are situated within a vibrant regional landscape of baseball and softball development in Olathe. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City, in collaboration with Royals RBI, have expanded community access through affordable baseball and softball programming for youths aged 5 to 18, including 40 baseball and 15 softball teams for the 2026 season (kshb.com). In parallel, the newly established KC Metro Sports Baseball & Softball League offers structured youth recreation for ages 5–12, featuring divisions from T-ball up to player-pitch formats, with affordable registration and strong access to local facilities from May through July (bgc-gkc.org). These initiatives support the regional baseball and softball ecosystem that includes the KC Barnstormers in Olathe.
