Knoxville Set for Professional Softball Expansion in 2027
The Press Box is positioned within a growing landscape of baseball and softball in Knoxville, which is poised to welcome its first professional women’s softball team in 2027. The Professional Softball League has announced an expansion franchise will begin play in the city as part of its Southeast-focused summer schedule, though details such as the team’s name and home venue are still pending (si.com). Meanwhile, The Press Box continues to serve local athletes as a premier indoor baseball and softball training facility, offering batting cages, pitching tunnels, and coaching resources in a climate-controlled environment (findbattingcages.com).
