Lakewood Ranch Youth Baseball Infrastructure Advances
Manatee County has advanced plans for a new youth baseball complex in Lakewood Ranch that may benefit local organizations such as The Sports Farm. The county commission recently approved a $7.2 million development at Country Club East Park to include three youth baseball fields complete with lighting, bleachers, dugouts, fencing, restrooms, expanded parking, and a maintenance facility(yourobserver.com). This infrastructure expansion addresses a growing need, as Lakewood Ranch Little League now fields over 700 players and has long sought additional space for games and practice(yahoo.com).
