Lynnhaven Wahoos 12U set sights on Cooperstown 2027 while grinding through tournament tests
The Lynnhaven Wahoos, a Virginia Beach 12U travel side, are steering a multi‑year push toward a Cooperstown 2027 tournament trip, rallying the community around fundraising and support as the group grows together [1]. Registered on the USSSA circuit, the Wahoos continue to stack competition across the region [2].They sit at 2–5, with 36 runs scored and 55 allowed, a snapshot of a squad taking on quality opposition and learning the pace of tournament play [3]. Events include the 2023 Columbus Day weekend (1–3) and the 2024 Sandlot Smash (1–2), with game lines such as a 10–5 win over SJ Ghost and setbacks against Avon Grove Bulldogs (5–7), Delmarva Aces 12U Coastal (0–13), South Jersey Young Guns Carolina (4–12) and Mid Shore Mavericks (4–9) [3].The roster runs deep across the diamond, with last names including Blair, Geissinger, Griffin, Johnson, Martin, Maugeri, McDowell, Peterson, Socha, Taber, Uransky and Winterling listed with primary positions and arms where applicable [3].With a clear target in Cooperstown and steady weekend reps, the Wahoos aim to turn those innings into wins as the schedule rolls on. Updates, team information and support options are available on the Wahoos’ site and competition listings [1][2].
