Region’s Amateur Baseball & Softball Activity Highlights Youth Competitions
South of The James Ball Club, based in Powhatan County, operates amid a vibrant regional landscape of youth baseball and softball. Powhatan Fastpitch Softball continues its use of the Turner Field Complex behind the county administration building, supporting youth softball programs across multiple fields (powhatansoftball.org). Concurrently, Powhatan Little League is active with spring baseball programming in 2026, including T‑Ball and Coach Pitch divisions, hosting events and skills clinics to engage young athletes (pllbaseball.com). Together, these developments provide a dynamic environment in which South of The James Ball Club operates and contribute to sustained interest in youth baseball and softball in the Powhatan region.
