The Floyd County Commission approved the extension at its February 12, 2026 meeting following months of negotiations with Diamond Baseball Holdings, the team's ownership group. As part of the agreement, the Emperors will assume responsibility for field maintenance and stadium security, relieving county staff of those obligations.
