Rowdies open early preseason at Al Lang after sweeping roster overhaul
A new-look Tampa Bay group convened at Al Lang Stadium for an early preseason, with head coach Dominic Casciato accelerating preparations after a 2025 campaign that fell short of the playoffs [1]. The reset is sweeping: 17 new players, a smaller group of returners, and an emphasis on younger, hungrier profiles to raise the squad’s ceiling [1].Casciato has tapped connections from his Union Omaha stint—midfielder Pedro Dolabella among the additions—while club favorite Leo Fernandes moves into a role on the technical staff [1]. The early work in downtown St. Petersburg builds toward a March 7 season opener against Birmingham Legion FC [1].The club continues to anchor the waterfront at Al Lang Stadium, a home base in the modern era that traces back to 2008 [2].
