Sachem Little League closed; 2017 season canceled
The fields in Ronkonkoma will go quiet: Sachem Little League is closing effective immediately for the 2017 season because of shrinking sign‑ups and a shortage of players and volunteers [1]. The decision ends a community run that dates back to 1958 [1].Families who already registered will receive refunds, less a payment‑processing deduction per registration, with instructions posted for how to request them. The league also extended thanks to coaches, parents, players, and local partners for decades of support [2].
