Sachem Little League closes, citing declining registration
Sachem Little League has closed, citing declining registration [1]. The decision brings an end to organized Little League baseball and softball under the Sachem banner in Ronkonkoma [1].Before the shutdown, the league offered a full slate of youth divisions — Tee Ball, Farms, Minors, Majors, and Juniors — along with a Challenger program supporting players with physical or developmental challenges [2]. The closure leaves a noticeable gap in the local youth baseball and softball calendar for families who long relied on those divisions each spring [1][2].
