Swanger Baseball Complex Upgrades Benefit Local Youth Baseball Programs
Southern Athletics Baseball Academy may benefit from the recent upgrades to the Texarkana youth baseball infrastructure, as the newly renovated Swanger Baseball Complex in Spring Lake Park officially opened May 2, 2025. The upgrades include turf on all five fields, enhanced restrooms, concessions, shaded seating, covered bullpens, and a turf-covered common area—facilities that serve local academies and teams in the region. The improvements are expected to support organizations like Southern Athletics Baseball Academy by offering enhanced playing environments for training and competition. The improved venue underscores the broader development of baseball and softball resources in Texarkana.
