Update from Elite‑Pro‑Ball Academy Facility Dispute
We at Elite‑pro‑ball Academy are closely monitoring the ongoing situation regarding our facility in Newberry. As many of you know, the City of Newberry terminated the operating agreement in November 2023 over tax and insurance defaults, even though we addressed those obligations thereafter (mainstreetdailynews.com). The city has since initiated eviction proceedings, despite the offer of $15,000 to vacate—an offer we declined, having invested over $250,000 into the facility’s development (mainstreetdailynews.com). We remain committed to our mission of serving our baseball and softball community and are pursuing every available avenue to resolve this matter in the best interest of our athletes and fans.
