UT Southern Baseball Splits Midweek Series, Advances in SSAC Play
UT Southern Baseball, representing the University of Tennessee Southern, earned a narrow 8‑3 victory over Blue Mountain Christian University in a 10‑inning Southern States Athletic Conference opener on March 21 in Pulaski. The Firehawks broke open the contest with five runs in the top of the 10th inning (sportsmississippi.com). Shortly thereafter, the team faced a challenging outing at the SSAC Baseball Championship, falling 15‑1 to William Carey during pool play at Rockabillys Stadium in Jackson, Tennessee, on April 30 (sportsmississippi.com). These results reflect UT Southern’s competitive resilience in close contests and the challenges encountered in postseason play.
