Vandals Steal Bleachers from Sachem Little League’s Smith Field
Hello Sachem Little League fans—this one’s for you. We regret to report that Suffolk County Police are currently investigating the theft of seven aluminum bleachers from our Smith Field. Each bench weighs approximately 300 pounds and carries a combined cost near $10,000, leaving us in a tough spot as we lack the funds to replace them. Commissioner Bob Cummings says the trail of broken bleacher parts led to a neighbor’s fence, though nothing was recovered at the residence. We’re urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 1‑800‑220‑TIPS. Thank you for your ongoing support as we work to restore comfort and safety for our players and fans.
