StoryAchill’s Ben Dempsey rises from 2016 debut to Connacht final in 2020
Achill has a live one in the gloves. Ben Dempsey opened his competitive ledger in 2016, stepping into the ring under the Achill banner as his amateur journey got underway [1].From there, he pushed deeper into tournament brackets, logging a Round 2 outing that underlined his progress on the provincial circuit [2]. By 2018 he had broken through to the Connacht semi-final stage [3], and two seasons later he stood in the Connacht final, capping a notable rise for the island’s contender [4].It’s a timeline that spans four seasons, from 2016 through 2020, bookended by appearances at the Connacht semi-final and final stages [3][4].
