StoryAshburton Athletics Club opens summer registration, Wednesday club nights set at the Domain
Ashburton Athletics Club has locked in Wednesday club nights at Ashburton Domain Oval, with the main programme typically running 5:15–7:00pm and the Super Stars (under‑7) session 4:00–5:00pm. [1][2]Registrations for the summer season, which runs October–March, are open through the club hub and include Athletics Canterbury and Athletics NZ levies with the club subscription. [5]The process covers club membership plus separate competition entries for Canterbury Children’s Saturday meets, the Mid‑South Friday night competition, and senior Athletics Canterbury fixtures. [5]Families can sample a free first club night, and athletes may attend up to two Saturday interclub meetings before registration is required. [5]The club has also unveiled a refreshed programme and highlighted a strong response to opening night in recent updates. [3][4]Parent help remains central on club nights and at meets, with volunteers expected to assist at events and stations. [1][5]
