StoryCapoeira Maturidade and Regional Capoeira Scene Update
From the heart of Santos, we at CAPOEIRA MATURIDADE want to share an inspiring development: Mestre Sombra, a revered figure in our city’s capoeira heritage, was honored in January 2024 along with other octogenarian mestres at the 5th Rede Capoeira event in Salvador. This recognition highlights the enduring legacy and strength of our regional community and reminds us all—students, families, and supporters—that capoeira is not only a martial art but a vibrant cultural bond that spans generations. At CAPOEIRA MATURIDADE, we continue training with passion and honor these living legends who shaped our art.
