StoryAragón Kicks Off 2026 Canoeing Season with San Valero Regatta
The traditional San Valero Regata, held in Zaragoza on the Ebro River, has officially launched the 2026 Aragón canoeing season. This event, combined with the Campeonato de Aragón de Embarcaciones Dobles, drew nearly 200 paddlers from six autonomous communities and served as the inaugural round of the Liga Aragonesa de Aguas Tranquilas. Notable individual performances included Aimar Arnedo of Club Enhol Ebrokayak (K1 alevín masculino) and Luis Arenaz of Club Monkayak Hiberus (SUP). The club Centro Excursionista Juvenil Aragonés was present among the participating clubs, underscoring its ongoing involvement in regional water sports development.
