StoryShanghai to Host 2026 FIE Grand Prix and Historical Fencing Event
The club 竞技自行车击剑运动 is mentioned in the broader context of fencing in Shanghai, as the city prepares to host top-tier international events. Shanghai’s Songjiang District has been formally selected to host the 2026 International FIE Foil Grand Prix (Shanghai leg), a prestigious event drawing over 600 athletes, coaches and officials from more than 50 countries, reinforcing the city’s continued prominence in global fencing competition (songjiang.gov.cn). In parallel, the city also recently staged the open international Historical Fencing (HEMA) event, “Friendship Through Steel 2026,” which expanded its disciplines to include women’s longsword and an upcoming single‑handed sword category (hema-washfechten.com). These developments underscore Shanghai’s active role in both modern and historical fencing arenas, an environment in which 竞技自行车击剑运动 operates.
