StoryDunoon Camanachd: 2015 roots, Dunoon Stadium home and a senior return via Strachur–Dunoon
Shinty’s revival in Dunoon picked up in 2015 with the formation of Dunoon Camanachd, known locally as the Dùnachs (Gaelic: Comann Camanachd Dhùn Omhain). Dunoon Stadium serves as the club’s home ground [1][2].The club entered the Camanachd Association’s senior structure in 2016, competing in South Division 2 through 2017, before the independent senior side went into abeyance for the 2018 season [1].In recent seasons, senior game-day representation for the town has come via a joint team with neighbours Strachur & District, branded Strachur–Dunoon, which appears on South Division 2 team pages and fixture lists [3][4].
