StoryEastrington CC Launches £100,000 Appeal for New Pavilion
Eastrington CC has initiated a fundraising campaign to raise £100,000 for a replacement pavilion after its current 1970s facility was deemed in a "dreadful state of repair" and unlikely to last another year. Planning permission for the new structure, which is intended to honour former player Mick Hornsby, was granted in December 2024. The club emphasises the pavilion’s importance for children’s teams and broader village cricket activities, warning that without a new building the future of cricket in Eastrington could be at risk. The appeal aims to secure the facility’s long‑term role at the heart of local sport.
