StoryYouth Football Developments in Sogn og Fjordane Benefit Region
Elva/Namsskogan I.L’s region is seeing a boost in youth football development through initiatives by NFF Sogn og Fjordane. The regional football association recently conducted a digital coach forum “Artig på trening” for child players aged 6–9, held on April 16, 2026, aimed at improving training methods for foundational youth categories (fotball.no). Additionally, a new coaches’ leadership course (Fotballeiarkurs 2) is scheduled to take place in Førde on May 30–31, 2026, fostering professional development for club coaches across the region (fotball.no). These efforts are expected to indirectly benefit clubs such as Elva/Namsskogan I.L by enhancing coaching quality and structure at grassroots level.
