StoryDevelopment Initiatives and National Youth Success Boost Moroccan Volleyball
The Royal Moroccan Volleyball Federation (FRMVB) convened discussions at the Volleyball House this week, hosting President Abdelhamid Ouaqouaq and General Secretary Fahd Ouazzani Chahidi to focus on strategic development of the sport nationwide. Key areas addressed included coach and referee education, equipment provision, and enhanced support for indoor and beach volleyball programs across age groups. The federation has delivered USD 364,000 in empowerment investments since 2017, spanning 14 developmental projects. Concurrently, Morocco’s national beach volleyball teams have made significant strides, securing both men’s and women’s titles at the previous CAVB Beach Volleyball Championships and representing the country at the FIVB World Championships in Adelaide. These efforts reflect growing momentum for volleyball that could benefit clubs such as Mouloudia Club Oujda in future grassroots and regional competition.
