StoryCold Spring Weather Delayed Opening at Valleyview Golf Club
A late-season cold snap delayed the opening of the Valleyview Golf Club in Delisle, Saskatchewan. General manager Jim MacGowan confirmed that forecasts of snow and temperatures near –10 °C forced the club to postpone its season start, as staff awaited safer conditions before removing protective tarps from the greens. The course, which features nine holes nestled in a prairie valley and opened in 2002, continues to attract players with its rolling elevation and affordability. MacGowan noted that, despite broader regional course delays, club-specific events for men, women, and seniors remain on schedule once favorable weather arrives.
