14th Ward Youth Baseball Association Opens 2025 Season Under the Lights
The 14th Ward Youth Baseball Association inaugurated its Spring 2025 season with an Opening Night Under the Lights event at Frick Park. The club, serving over 400 players aged 4–16, continues its tradition of providing baseball and softball programs across Pittsburgh’s East End, with fields such as Koenig Field now marked open for the season. The organization, registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, reported revenues of approximately $198,478 and expenses of $157,944 for 2024, supported in part by a $600 grant and $7,740 from Pirates Charities. The continuation of community-focused programming underscores the association’s sustained presence in regional youth sports.
