2026 OSSAA team preview: Bixby Spartans set for a title push
Bixby rolls into 2026 on the back of a 31–10 campaign that ended in the state semifinals, and the Spartans are again being pegged as contenders in Class 6A under head coach Dean Wilson, entering his seventh season at the helm [1].The lineup core returns real thump and range with outfielders Barrett Standley (’27) and Graham Knight (’26), plus infielders Nate Gonzalez (’26), John Crosby (’27), and Dax Sullivan (’27) anchoring the infield spots [1]. New pieces expected to make an impact include Jackson Turney (1B, ’26), Cody Young (INF, ’26), and two-way freshman Connor Arant (RHP/INF, ’28), while recent departures Brian Justice, Coen Miller, and Nate Lloyd leave notable shoes to fill [1].The projection is clear: one of the state’s top offenses with sure-handed defense backing it up. The big question is on the hill, where Bixby must replace significant innings to match last spring’s pace, but the ceiling remains a championship push if the arms settle in [1].The 2026–27 slate is posted on MaxPreps and on the Bixby Athletics schedule pages, with home dates listed at 601 S Riverview Dr in Bixby [2][3][4].
