2026 preview: Bixby reloads on the mound after 31–10, state semifinal run
Bixby enters 2026 with the bar set high after a 31–10 campaign that ended in the state semifinals, returning multiple position players and adding impact newcomers to steady the lineup. The central question sits on the mound, where graduation trimmed pitching depth and the staff will be reworked this spring [1].Coach Dean Wilson emphasizes the program’s standard and the confidence in this returning core as Bixby targets another deep postseason run built on defense, timely hitting, and an emerging rotation [2].The program’s pedigree remains clear: state titles in 1978, 2008, and 2023 and a track record that includes eight MLB Draft picks—markers of the expectations around the Spartans every year [4]. Fans can track rosters, schedules, and updates throughout the season on the official team site [3].
