8U Dawgs reach Cal Ripken state final, fall 4-2 to Methacton Audubon
The 8U Dawgs put the Big Spring colors on a statewide stage, advancing all the way to the Cal Ripken Pennsylvania State Championship game before a 4-2 defeat to Methacton Audubon Recreation Association closed the run [1].It was a statement week from a rising group in the program—organized, competitive baseball that showcased poise beyond the age bracket and gives the Dawgs a solid foundation heading deeper into the summer [1]. The youth program represents the Big Spring area in and around Newville, continuing a strong local pipeline at the grassroots level [2].
