ACL Royals ready for rookie-ball grind in Surprise
Based in Surprise, the ACL Royals line up once again in the Arizona Complex League as the Kansas City Royals’ rookie-level affiliate, a stop geared toward instruction and fundamentals as prospects begin their pro climb [2][3].The roster is intentionally fluid, with frequent moves as draftees and international signees rotate through. Roster and staff listings are maintained on the club’s Minor League page to reflect those in-season changes [1].The franchise’s rookie-ball footprint in the Valley stretches back two decades, competing from 2003–2013 and again from 2015 to the present (the league rebranded from AZL to ACL in 2021) [3]. The ACL schedules backfield games across spring complexes throughout Arizona, keeping the focus on reps and development over results [2].
