Alexandria Soccer Landscape Sees Facility Upgrades and Tournament Activity
Alexandria continues to enhance its soccer infrastructure and community engagement through facility improvements and competition scheduling. The Alexandria Soccer Association recently donated bench shelters valued at approximately $58,520 to be installed at soccer fields at Ben Brenman Park and Limerick Field, improving amenities at the football field venues (alxnow.com). In parallel, the region’s amateur soccer scene is ramping up as the Alexandria Masters Soccer League returned in Spring 2026, staging games at the refurbished Minnie Howard Field and Fort Ward, offering both standard and “Over‑the‑Hill” formats on the local football field surfaces (alex-masters.squarespace.com).
