Alumni Clash Highlights Petersburg Baseball Community
Petersburg alumni edged out Moorefield in the inaugural Burke & Herbert Bank Alumni Baseball Clash, securing an 11‑10 victory in a closely contested game last summer. The event served as a fundraiser for the Petersburg and Moorefield high school baseball programs, featuring contributions from former players and ceremonial first pitches by Little League representatives. The club’s community involvement and historical ties to baseball were underscored by recognition of local youth teams during the event (moorefieldexaminer.com)
