Backyard Hackers lines up summer lessons, strength block and cage access in Appleton
Appleton’s Backyard Hackers is doubling down on reps for local ballplayers. Summer baseball and softball lessons—private and small-group—anchor the slate alongside focused work on hitting, pitching development, arm care and mindset. [1][2]Youth Strength & Explosiveness runs as a 20-session block built around three 1-hour workouts each week (Mon/Tue/Thu, roughly 5–6 p.m.) for roughly ages 11–15, designed to complement winter and summer skills training. [3]Off-Season Training runs about five months in small groups, covering the hitting and defensive foundations expected of elite players. Teams can book a tailored version of that program and receive team-only facility time. [2][7]The Appleton facility offers two long cages—about 50' and 55'—with movable dividers to create extra lanes, plus a small weight room, roughly 30' of plyo wall, and an arm-care space. Rentals are $50 per hour. [4]Availability is posted on the facility schedule, with reservations handled directly by the staff. [5][4]A roster of instructors is posted, with coach bios and specialties; names include veteran coach John Hendrick among others. [6]For steady cage time, the Hackers Club provides a month-to-month membership positioned as a low-cost option for hitters in the Valley. [2]
