BBU Tigers detail program, coaching pathway and $25 tryouts at Waltham base
Baseball Unlimited’s BBU Tigers continue to anchor Waltham’s youth baseball scene with a year-round, development-first program built on strong coaching and mentorship [1][4]. The club operates out of 55 Athletic Field Rd in Waltham, offering training and instruction alongside its travel teams [5][6].The Tigers point to a competitive track record that includes a New Balance Select Baseball Massachusetts 10U Division I state title in 2021, with earlier championship seasons also referenced [1]. Tryout logistics are straightforward: a one-time $25 fee, with most players needing only a single session to be evaluated [3].On the staff side, the bench is built from within—former BBU players now coach in the program—reinforcing the mentorship pathway central to the model [2]. The program frames itself as a home for players passionate about the game who want a competitive, growth-first environment under experienced coaches [4].
