Bixby Spartans eye 6A title behind seasoned core; 2026 slate loaded with heavyweights
Bixby enters 2026 with the look of a 6A contender, built around a veteran core and a balanced group of arms and bats under head coach Dean Wilson [1]. Program leadership and continuity headline the profile, with key contributors back to set the standard in the clubhouse and on the field [2].The path won’t be soft. The Spartans’ spring slate lines up traditional 6A heavyweights, with opponents such as Owasso, Edmond North and McAlester on the card, giving the group plenty of postseason-caliber tests before May [3][4].The momentum is real, too: the Spartans celebrated a 2026 Regional Champions crown, a spring-stage marker that underscores their ceiling heading into the final stretch [5].Depth pieces continue to surface across the roster, including left-hander/first baseman/outfielder Xander Briggs (Class of 2027), who adds versatility to both staff and lineup options [6].Put together, the experience at the top, the competitive schedule, and a live pipeline of contributors position Bixby squarely in the 6A chase this season [1][2].
