Brewers Acquire Jake Woodford as Spring Training Concludes
The Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club | Spring Training & Rookie League strengthened its pitching depth in the final days of Spring Training by acquiring right-handed pitcher Jake Woodford from the Tampa Bay Rays. The transaction, finalized on March 24, saw Woodford join the Brewers in exchange for minor‑league right-hander K.C. Hunt, with outfielder Akil Baddoo moved to the 60‑day injured list to open a roster spot. Woodford, a non‑roster invitee with Tampa Bay, carries experience across several major league stops and represents added depth following the conclusion of exhibition play. The move underscores the club’s focus on reinforcing its roster ahead of the regular season.
