Cactus League Adjusts Schedule Amid Arizona Heat Wave
Arizona Cactus League Association spring training games are being rescheduled due to an early-season heat wave in the Phoenix area. The league has moved at least ten afternoon games across six stadiums to start just after 6 p.m., while a game between the Athletics and Dodgers in Glendale will begin at 11 a.m. instead. The adjustments are intended to mitigate the impact of triple‑digit temperatures, which are expected to reach up to 106 °F through the final weekend of spring training. Game venues are also enhancing hydration measures by permitting water entry and installing hydration stations for fans. Arizona Cactus League Association Executive Director Bridget Binsbacher emphasized that safety remains the league’s top priority.
