CageRat launches summer collegiate team in Rocky Mountain Baseball League
Colorado Springs will have another summer draw at the yard as CageRat Baseball rolls out a collegiate team to compete in the Rocky Mountain Baseball League, targeting a roughly 50-game schedule with a roster built around Division I players [1]. The new side is set with ambitious aims: contend for the RMBL crown and position itself for showcase events like the NBC World Series [1].The summer slate will also bring in regional powers, with expected matchups against programs such as the Liberal BeeJays, Hays Larks, and Dodge City A’s as part of the collegiate summer circuit [2]. Players will train in CageRat’s home facility, suit up in the club’s colors, and serve as day-to-day role models for the program’s youth and high-school athletes [2].The club is lining up host families and corporate partners to back the project, with a plan to keep tickets low—if not free—through sponsorship. Interested sponsors and host families can reach Norm Churchill at norm@cageratbaseball.com [2].
