California Adult Baseball Organization Cites Broader Trends in Adult Softball Participation
The California Adult Baseball Organization (CABO) operates within a rapidly expanding adult sports landscape characterized by increasing engagement and participation. In greater California, adult sports leagues have seen notable growth, with softball accounting for approximately 15 percent of adult league participation in recent data — ranking third after volleyball and soccer (axios.com). Meanwhile, regional initiatives continue to bolster baseball and softball infrastructure; for example, Rawlings extended its partnership as the official equipment provider for CIF Southern Section baseball and softball championship events, reflecting sustained investment in adult-level development across the state (cifss.org). These broader dynamics provide context for CABO’s ongoing role in California’s adult baseball and softball ecosystem.
