Canfield overpowered Crestview 12–2 to capture the Intermediate (50/70) District 2 championship and advance to the Ohio state tournament in Wheelersburg from July 5–12 [1][2]. Rocco Turk struck out nine across 6.2 innings and also went 2-for-3 with four RBIs, smashing a three-run homer. Cooper Walters delivered a 2-for-3 night with three RBIs, including a two-run shot as the Cardinals pulled away [1].Around the diamonds, Canfield’s younger teams kept the momentum. The 10U softball group claimed the Ohio Little League (Minor 8–10) state championship [3][5], the 9U squad won a district title over Boardman [4], and the 11U team rolled to a district championship as well [6].
