City Agreement Secures Continued Home for Oso Pony Baseball League
The City of Corpus Christi has reached a new License Use Agreement enabling the Oso Pony Baseball League to continue operations at the Southside Sports Complex, located at 1901 Paul Jones Avenue. The agreement, finalized in December 2025, sets affordable rental rates for nonprofit groups—$4.25 per hour, or $5.25 per hour with lighting—which aims to ease financial burdens on youth sports organizations. Under the terms, the city’s Parks & Recreation Department will assume responsibility for maintenance of the athletic fields used by the league. The arrangement both preserves access for Oso Pony Baseball League and supports broader public use of city-owned sports facilities.
