City Agreement Secures Oso Pony Baseball League’s Venue Amid Youth Sports Access Expansion
The City Council in Corpus Christi has finalized a license use agreement permitting the Oso Pony Baseball League to continue operating at Southside Sports Complex, located at 1901 Paul Jones Avenue, while simultaneously expanding public access to city‑owned sports fields. Under the agreement, nonprofit youth organizations, including the Oso Pony Baseball League, may rent fields at rates starting at $4.25 per hour, or $5.25 with lighting, enabling the organization to focus resources on programming rather than fundraising. Field maintenance will be managed by the City’s Athletic Fields Maintenance Team within Parks & Recreation, supporting the league’s efforts to sustain youth baseball activities in the community.
