Corpus Christi City Agreement Secures Oso Pony Baseball League Fields
The City of Corpus Christi has formalized a License Use Agreement with the Oso Pony Baseball League, enabling the club to continue operations at the Southside Sports Complex (1901 Paul Jones Avenue) while expanding access to the facility for additional community sports programs. The agreement establishes affordable rental rates—for example, $4.25 per hour without lights and $5.25 with lights—allowing the team and other youth organizations to focus on program quality rather than fundraising. The city’s Parks & Recreation Department will assume responsibility for field maintenance, ensuring the venue remains accessible and well-managed for practices, tournaments, and broader community use.
