Corpus Christi Reaches Agreement to Support Oso Pony Baseball League
The City of Corpus Christi has finalized a License Use Agreement with the Oso Pony Baseball League, enabling the league to continue operations at Southside Sports Complex, located at 1901 Paul Jones Avenue, while expanding public access to the sports fields. Under the new arrangement, nonprofit organizations—including Oso Pony Baseball League—can rent fields at affordable rates, starting at $4.25 per hour or $5.25 per hour with lights. The city’s Parks & Recreation department will assume maintenance of the athletic facilities, facilitating continued youth programming and reducing the fundraising burden on the club. The agreement reflects a broader initiative to maximize community benefit from taxpayer‑funded sports assets.
