Diamond Instincts Baseball & Softball Academy anchors year‑round training in Northbrook
Diamond Instincts Baseball & Softball Academy operates out of 600 Waukegan Rd in Northbrook, serving the area’s players with year‑round indoor training and instruction [1]. The academy maintains an active presence for announcements and player development updates via its @di_baseball account [2].Rooted in the community since the late 2000s, the facility opened in 2008 under co‑owners Lyndsey Levin and Sam Incandela. Its early build‑out featured four batting cages, an artificial pitching mound, and a FungoMan automated machine to dial up fly balls and grounders—tools that set a clear standard for structured reps indoors [9]. Programming highlighted a six‑week hitting league, offseason lessons, and summer camps for youth players, drawing talent from Glenbrook North, Glenbrook South, Deerfield and nearby programs [9].Today, the academy remains listed locally as a dedicated baseball and softball training site on Waukegan Road, with community directory and review pages pointing athletes to an indoor setup built for consistent reps no matter the season [1][4]. For families mapping out winter swings or summer tune‑ups, Diamond Instincts continues to be a familiar stop on the North Shore circuit [2][4].
